Comments

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If you register on our website, we store the personal information you provide in your user profile. You can see, edit, or delete your personal information at any time (except your username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Our interactive tools

Societal Echoes offers self-assessment tools including the Mind Check, Attachment Style Test, Together Index, and BMI calculator. These are screening aids, not diagnostic instruments.

Anonymous by default

Your responses are processed in your browser to generate a result. We do not require an account or email to use these tools, and answers are not tied to your identity unless you choose to save or share a result yourself.

Together Index (dual-partner tool)

Where a tool compares two partners’ answers, only the data needed to generate the shared comparison is used, and it is not retained beyond what’s needed to display your result.

No clinical storage

We do not maintain a database of individual health or psychological assessment answers linked to named users.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address to send updates from Societal Echoes. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email, and your address is removed from our list once you do.

Donations

If you make a donation, payment is processed directly by our payment providers (UPI or PayPal). We do not receive or store your card, UPI, or bank details — only confirmation that a donation was made, along with any name or email you choose to share for receipt purposes.

Analytics & cookies

We use website analytics to understand how visitors use the site (e.g. which pages are read, general location and device type). This data is aggregated and not used to identify you individually. Your browser may store cookies to support this and to remember comment-form details for your convenience.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, have left comments, or have subscribed to our newsletter, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

If you are located in India, these rights are additionally guided by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, which governs how we may collect, use, and store your personal data as a data fiduciary.

CONTACT — To request your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, write to admin@societalechoes.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.
